Rose fire burns over 1,000 acres in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fire crews were working to tackle the Rose Fire in Fresno County, which burned more than 1,000 acres.

According to Cal Fire, a burning grass fire with power lines down was reported at around 12:40 p.m. in the area of South Yuba Avenue and West Rose Avenue in Fresno County.

The fire, named the Rose Fire, reportedly burned 1,200 acres as of Monday afternoon. As of Monday evening, the fire was 100% contained.

No structures were threatened, and two engines were working on tackling this fire, as well as 12 personnel, a water tender, and a dozer.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
