Abilene Public Library offers Summer Reading Challenge & events
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Abilene Public Library has a full schedule this summer, full of reading challenges, new activities and events for people of all ages.

The Abilene Public Library has more than 175 programs lined up throughout June and July, including but not limited to:

  • Craft Sessions 
  • Movie Showings 
  • Master Gardeners Series 
  • Master Naturalists Series 
  • Writing Clubs 
  • STEAM
  • Read to a Dog Days 
  • Animal Ambassador Visits with the Zoo 
  • Art in the Park
  • Young Audiences Performances 

The library is also launching its annual summer reading program, featuring challenges for kids, teens, and adults. You can click here to learn more.

The library is also offering new programs, such as an introvert book club, art activities, a creative writing club, and a comic creation club, as well as a “Read, Chat & Play” parent book club with activities for kids.
