6 adults, 6 teen girls arrested in Tigard retail theft mission

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Tigard retail theft mission on Saturday resulted in 12 arrests, police announced.

Over $1,000 in stolen merchandise were recovered, as well as 30 items.

“Our goal is to identify and interrupt criminal behavior as it’s happening. This helps hold shoplifters accountable and aims to reduce this type of crime within the greater business community,” Tigard police said.

Eleven out of the 12 people arrested were under the age of 31.
