13-year-old boy shot and killed in Joliet: police

JOLIET, Ill. — A teenager was found shot to death in an alley in Joliet late Monday afternoon, police said.

Police responded to the 300 block of Des Plaines Street on reports of a person shot just before 4:45 p.m.

Officers located an unresponsive 13-year-old boy in an alley who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

The shooting is still being investigated by police and no arrests have been made.
