CHICAGO (WGN) – Blue Line train service has fully resumed after being temporarily suspended between O’Hare and Jefferson Park due to debris on the tracks at the Harlem stop, according to the Chicago Transit Authority.

The CTA said trains were only running between Forest Park and Jefferson Park while crews worked to clear debris. Officials added some type of debris from the expressway got onto the tracks and was hit by a train. No injuries were reported.

Shuttle buses were also available between O’Hare and Jefferson Park to provide connecting service, according to officials.

Travelers were asked to allow for extra travel time and were also asked to consider other alternatives, such as nearby bus routes or using buses to other rail lines.

Full service has since resumed.
