The six students include Emerson Walls on oboe, Lillyann Higly on bass clarinet, Alan Juarez on trumpet, Evan Franklin on trombone, Hannah Marler on tuba and Caiden Kasper on percussion. Theses all-star performers were selected through a competitive audition on each instrument where they competed against over 1,000 students from across the state. Emmerson Walls has been a three time member of the Arkansas All-State Band while Caiden Kasper has qualified for the past two years.
In addition to this honor, Emerson Walls was selected for the Governor’s Award for Musical Excellence for MHHS, selected by the directors and high school administration. Alan Juarez was selected as the Outstanding Sophomore, Evan Fraknlin the Outstanding Junior and Lillyann Higley was the winner of the John Philip Sousa Award. These awards were voted by members of the Bomber Band.
