2 injured in single-vehicle crash in Lawrence
LAWRENCE, Ind. — Two people were injured in a crash in Lawrence early Sunday morning.

Per the Lawrence Police Department, officers came across a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Pendleton Pike and Post Road around 2:37 a.m. Police reported that the car was smoking when they first found it.

Soon after they located the crashed car, LPD officers helped two occupants get out of it. Both of the crashed vehicle’s occupants had sustained serious injuries. According to LPD, at last check, the crashed car’s occupants were in stable condition.

LPD confirmed the crashed vehicle was engulfed in flames soon after officers helped the two occupants get out of it.

LPD’s crash investigation team responded to the scene to examine the incident.

As of this article’s publication, no additional information on the crash had been made available.
