Indianapolis, Ind. – May 31, 2025
For just the second time in franchise history, the Indiana Pacers are headed to the NBA Finals.
The Pacers beat the Knicks Saturday night with a dominant 125-108 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, winning the Eastern Conference Finals 4-2. Indiana now advances to face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in a best-of-seven series beginning Thursday, June 5.
Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 31 points, while All-NBA guard Tyrese Haliburton added 21 points and 13 assists. Obi Toppin came off the bench to score 18 with a series of highlight-reel plays as Indiana controlled the game from start to finish.
The Pacers, who joined the NBA in 1976 after three ABA titles, have only once reached the NBA Finals — in 2000, when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers during the height of the Shaq-Kobe dynasty. Now, nearly 25 years later, they return with a dynamic roster built around rising stars and playoff-tested veterans.
On the other side, the Oklahoma City Thunder enter the Finals as the Western Conference champions after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 4-1.
