The crash occurred on Highway 27 near Camp Lane, south of Georgetown, just after 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1.
According to MHP, the vehicle involved in the crash appeared to be traveling south when it left the road and collided with a tree. The vehicle caught fire.
At this time, MHP officials said investigators were unable to identify the vehicle, possibly a white Ford Bronco, or the driver.
