Lafayette man gets 20-year sentence for child porn production

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A Jaylen Mouton, 24, of Lafayette has been sentenced for 20 years in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, for production of child pornography.

According to information presented in court, in the spring of 2024, Mouton met a minor female on Instagram and began having sexual encounters with her and recording those sexual encounters. At the time, the minor was 14 years old. 

Authorities said Mouton was charged with two counts of the production of pornography involving juveniles, four Counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and two Counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Mouton was indicted in October 2024 and pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography on February 21, 2025.
