A break from the rain Saturday, Summer pattern next week

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Showers and thunderstorms are moving out of the area leaving Acadiana with quiet conditions through the overnight hours. Temperatures will slowly fall into the 70s overnight and remain there to start Saturday morning.

Saturday will see slightly drier conditions with temperatures in the upper 80s during the afternoon hours. Sun and clouds will move through the sky but rain chances won’t be a problem for the area. Remember to wear sunscreen to prevent sun burns!

After a brief dip in morning temperatures Sunday and Monday, a summer pattern returns to Acadiana with daily storm chances each afternoon. Most of the area will see fairly dry conditions with only one or two pop-up storms each day. Otherwise, highs will climb to 90 or above each day.
