Syracuse police release photo of assault suspect, provide update

SYRACUSE, Utah (ABC4) — The Syracuse Police Dept. is actively searching for the suspect of an assault investigation that began on Tuesday, May 27. Authorities have released a new photo of the suspect, and have said that the vehicle associated with him has been found.

At around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, police responded to an assault near 2700 W and 3300 S. At the scene, they found a 26-year-old woman with “significant injuries.” She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Syracuse police are currently looking for Daniel Herson Vazquez, 34, as their prime suspect in the investigation. The department said the vehicle associated with Vazquez has been found, and that they are working with local, state, and federal agencies to find him.
