HENDERSON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Law enforcement in Henderson will be increasing patrols after three cars were stolen from Wednesday, May 28, to Thursday, May 29, with other break-ins resulting in cars being burglarized.

The Henderson Police Department (HPD) posted on Facebook just before 9:30 a.m. on Friday that two neighborhoods appear to have been targeted by thieves who may have been caught on home security cameras breaking into vehicles.

Authorities in Henderson said the thieves had been spotted north of US-60 between Barret Boulevard and Watson Lane, as well as in a second area north of Zion Road between Larue Road and Spring Garden Road.

Law enforcement officials in Henderson asked community members with home security systems in those areas to check for camera footage showing any suspicious activity.

“If you have video, please contact us via 911 so we can dispatch an officer to your location,” the department wrote.

HPD officers will reportedly be increasing patrols in both neighborhoods and encourage the public to lock vehicle doors, remove keys and key fobs, and keep valuables out of plain sight.
