Childhood friends beat the odds; accepted to Harvard together

It’s a rare accomplishment to have three students from the same school accepted into Harvard University. 

It’s even more unlikely that you’ll be accepted to the university with your closest friends.  But that’s exactly what’s happening at East Aurora High School. 

Kevin Martinez, Paul Perez and Hector Montellano-Bahena have a lot in common.  Not only do they attend the same school, but play on the same tennis team, hold the #1, #2, and 4th

academic ranking in their graduating class and decided to apply to one of the top universities in the country with an acceptance rate of less than 5%. 

They say it’s their parents hard work that gave them the push
