Chicago police say it all started after officers in the city spotted a black SUV that had been reported stolen from Belmont Cragin.
Officers said they followed the vehicle, but once they got to Elmwood Park, the suspect, a male whose age is unknown, fled from the vehicle on foot near the 7600 block of West Grand Avenue.
Officers chased the suspect and eventually took him into custody less than a mile from where he allegedly fled from the vehicle.
Charges against the suspect are currently pending and authorities have not provided a booking photo.
