MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson man pled guilty to selling and trafficking fentanyl in Madison County.

According to Madison and Rankin Counties’ District Attorney Bubba Bramlett, Tony Hill, 40, pled guilty to one count of sale and one count of trafficking of fentanyl. He was sentenced to 10 years without the possibility of parole or early release.

In August 2023, narcotics officers with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Police
Department, and Ridgeland Police Department were working together in a joint fentanyl task force.

Bramlett said the officers worked with a confidential informant and made several purchases of fentanyl pills from Hill while he was working at a local nursing home in Madison County. The sales took place on the grounds of the nursing home.
