On May 27, around 9:30 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Ralston and Old Raslton Roads for the collision. Authorities found the victim at the corner of the intersection with severe bleeding.
The victim told officials that a Jeep collided with his motorcycle, causing him to launch onto the grassy corner of the intersection. The man continued to tell police that the suspect had fled the scene with his motorcycle dragging behind his vehicle.
The victim was taken to Javon Bea Hospital with a fractured tibia and patella, according to court records.
Officials followed scratch marks in the road that led them to the 10000 block of Banyan Drive. Authorities found the motorcycle stuck under the suspect’s vehicle, along with alcohol bottles inside.
Anderson was taken into custody and transported to Swedish American Hospital for a DUI test.
While at the hospital, Anderson told police he hit the motorcycle because its lights were off. He fled the scene because he was scared.
Andeson is charged with a crash that caused injury, aggravated DUI crash that caused bodily harm, DUI, transporting open alcohol containers, failure to reduce speed and improper turn signal usage.
