Monroe PD releases additional details about Memorial Day weekend brawl on Louisville Avenue

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2:11 AM, officers of the Monroe Police Department responded to a fight in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter on Louisville Avenue near Raising Cane’s. During the investigation, authorities identified several suspects involved in the altercation, who were issued summons for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting.

On May 28, 2025, Trace Castleberry was arrested and booked in the Ouachita Correctional Center. He was charged with Second-Degree Battery.

According to authorities, they were made aware of the video circulating on social media regarding the fight. Detectives confirmed that they are working to identify one other person involved in the incident. Once that identification is confirmed, authorities will obtain an arrest warrant for Second-Degree Battery.

MPD wants to assure the public that this incident is being investigated and the appropriate actions are being taken.
