The travel period began Friday, May 23 and concluded on Monday, May 26.
According to MHP, the five fatal crashes occurred in Hancock, Lowndes, George, Holmes and Chickasaw counties. Six deaths were reported.
During the enforcement period, troopers issued a total of 5,857 citations, made 73 arrests for impaired driving and cited 592 drivers for occupant restraint violations.
