Investigation continues for car found in Wabash River

PRINCETON, Ind. (WEHT) — Princeton police confirm an investigation is ongoing after a blue Honda Civic was pulled from the Wabash River.

The car was found on Memorial Day with witnesses watching from across the river in Illinois. Police say the vehicle was reported stolen by its owner.

Officials confirms a suspect is in mind — in custody — on separate charges.

Princeton police say this is an open-and-shut case, but a name has not been released pending on if charges are filed on the person in custody.

Witnesses tell us that responding agencies were at the scene for over an hour.
