Discharged patient accused of assaulting employees at two Jackson hospitals
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials said a discharged patient from the VA Medical Center in Jackson assaulted a VA employee and an employee at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
According to the VA Medical Center, the patient assaulted a VA employee on Tuesday and fled onto the grounds of UMMC, where he assaulted the UMMC employee.
Officials said neither employee sustained serious injuries. They’re both expected to make a full recovery.
