The City College for Municipal Employment (CCME) held its first-ever graduation ceremony on Tuesday, and 24 students graduated with degrees in business administration, healthcare, and public safety.
“We are so proud of the graduates from this inaugural cohort. CCME is the first of its kind, and the graduates here today successfully completed their training tracks while remaining flexible as we navigated the ups and downs of developing a new program together,” said Carol de Fries, CCME Executive Director. “We are eager to see our Upskilling participants use their new skills as they grow into new roles and we look forward to seeing what is next for all of our CCME scholars. Whether its in a role at the City of Philadelphia, one of our partners, or another employer in the region, our CCME graduates are now equipped to continue growing in their careers.”
This city program provides free workforce training and a pathway to employment in Philadelphia.
