Hosie Charles Jordan-Jackson, 34, was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on Monday, May 26, following an investigation by the Pineville Police Department. His bond has been set at $250,000.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, May 25, at a residence in the 1000 block of Lakeshore Drive. Police were alerted by hospital staff after a male victim arrived with significant head trauma. Though initially incoherent, the victim was able to provide limited information that helped investigators identify the location of the incident.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home and interviewed several individuals, ultimately identifying Jordan-Jackson as the suspect. During questioning, he admitted to striking and kicking the victim multiple times and claimed the assault stemmed from ongoing harassment. He also suggested that the victim may have sustained additional injuries after hitting his head on a doorframe during the beating.
The victim, whose name has not been released, suffered an open skull fracture and was later transferred to a medical facility outside the area. As of the latest update, he remains in critical condition.
The Pineville Police Department issued a correction to its original report, clarifying that the victim was not struck with a crowbar, as initially stated, but rather sustained injuries solely from being kicked during the attack. Authorities also corrected the suspect’s name, confirming it as Hosie Charles Jordan-Jackson, per official records.
Police emphasized that the incident was not a random act of violence and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Pineville Police Criminal Investigations Bureau at (318) 449-5652.
