Pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle near SF Costco

(KRON) –  A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle near a San Francisco Costco on Tuesday morning, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The collision has caused road closures. 

San Francisco police officers responded to the area of Tenth and Harrison streets for a vehicle collision around 5:14 a.m. Arriving officers found a harmed pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. 

Police said officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived and took the victim to the hospital for their life-threatening injuries. According to SFPD, the victim has since been declared deceased.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, according to SFPD.

Authorities ask drivers to avoid the area of Tenth Street from Folsom to Bryant streets. Police have closed this area to investigate.
