Travis Cline, a deputy chief with the Lawrence Police Department, said that around 4:15 p.m., a kayaker saw a body floating in the creek and called law enforcement.
Cline said that the department identified the dead body as an adult man, who had reportedly been in that location “for quite some time.” Cline said the department did identify the person, but are not going to release that information at this time.
Cline said that there does not appear to be any foul play. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is handling the investigation.
