According to the mayor of Stamford, tornadoes were spotted by the Haskell and Stamford Fire Departments north of Stamford on FM 277.
According to meteorologist Dylan Smith, the storm is weakening but could still produce winds of up to 60 mph and hail measuring around an inch in diameter.
The National Weather Service in San Angelo shared at 8:30 p.m. that “Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Stamford and other parts of southern Haskell and Northern Jones Counties. This is roughly the same storm that had produced a series of brief tornado touchdowns, but the circulations have weakened.”
Please stay aware of the weather and be prepared to move to a safe location should another Tornado Warning be issued.
