Pennsylvania’s Adjutant General joins This Week in Pennsylvania

(WHTM) – On a Memorial Day weekend edition of This Week in Pennsylvania, Dennis Owens talks to Major General John R. Pippy, Adjutant General of Pennsylvania.

Pippy is the 55th Adjutant General of Pennsylvania and serves as the head of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. Pippy is responsible for the command and control of nearly 18,000 Army and Air National Guard members, the third-largest National Guard in the country.

Pippy has made two deployments to the Middle East, the first in 2003 in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the second in Operation Inherent Resolve against the Islamic State in 2016 and 2017.
