Five Corvettes were stopped for speeding on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz at 1:55 p.m. Saturday, the California Highway Patrol stated on social media. According to one of the tickets given by the officer, the drivers were going faster than 70 mph.
“A CHP officer spotted not one, not two, but five Corvettes zooming well above the speed limit on Highway 1 near Davenport,” CHP shared on social media.
CHP is reminding citizens to slow down this Memorial Day weekend.
“Remember: Speed kills,” CHP wrote. “Let’s keep our roads safe for everyone. Slow down, enjoy the journey, and drive to arrive. Your loved ones are counting on you.”
