CLEARWATER, FL– Tulane baseball topped No. 1 UTSA 6-3 and advanced to the AAC championship game for the third consecutive season. The Green Wave will face East Carolina in the title game and if Tulane prevails, Jay Uhlman’s team will clinch its third straight conference tournament championship.

Tulane’s pitching staff (Trey Cehajic, Carter Benbrook and Tayler Montiel) didn’t allow an earned run. The Green Wave trailed 3-2 in the fifth inning, but Gavin Schulz tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the fifth and centerfielder Tanner Chun’s 2-RBI single gave Tulane some separation.
