Search & rescue mission underway at Tyler State Park

NEWTOWN TWP., Pa. (WPHL) — A search and rescue mission is currently underway at Tyler State Park, according to sources.

Just before 1 p.m. Friday, multiple units began a search and rescue for a kayaker who flipped over, hit his head, and became unconscious in the water.

Park rangers, Northampton Police, and other emergency personnel are at Tyler State Park. The park is currently closed to the public. Officials are asking the public to avoid the area.
