Cullman County Memorial Day celebrations

– Cullman County is ready to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with various events for all ages. From night trail rides and car shows to community cookouts and festivals, there will be plenty to do and explore this weekend.

Stony Lonesome OHV Park Memorial Day Weekend Night Ride

Stony Lonesome OHV Park, 10075 Alabama Highway 69 South , Bremen

Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25, 8 a.m.-midnight

  • Ages 13+: $20 per person
  • Ages 6-12: $10 per person
  • Children 5 and younger: free

This is NOT a guided event. You must have fully functioning head lights and tail lights to participate. Lodging is available on-site; call us during office hours (Saturday 8 a.m.-midnight; Sunday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) to reserve cabins, units or RV sites. Dry camping and tent camping do not need a reservation; just let the ladies know when you check in to ride. Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited; anyone caught with alcohol will be ejected from the park. Coolers are allowed on the trails but must be checked at the gate.

Smith Lake Park Memorial Day Festival

Smith Lake Park, 403 County Road 386, Cullman

Saturday, May 24, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The festival offers an exciting day filled with live music, arts and crafts, food vendors and a family friendly environment. The Smith Lake Park swimming pool will also be available for people to enjoy as well as kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals. Admission to the park is free. Additional fees apply for pool and rentals.

Inaugural Freedom & Octane Memorial Day Car Show

Smith Lake Park, 403 County Road 386, Cullman

Saturday, May 24, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

The show will feature live music, local vendors and a celebration honoring military service members.

To enter a car in the show:

  • General: $20 per car
  • Veterans, active military, law enforcement: $10 per car

Spectators get in free.

Memorial Day Cookout – Standard Furniture

906 Perry St. SW, Cullman

Monday, May 26, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Standard Furniture is offering a traditional cookout with hot dogs, chips and drinks open to the public. Attendees can also register for a chance to win a recliner. The drawing will be held at 5 p.m. on Memorial Day.
