Man missing for over 6 months may need medical attention: CPD

CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities are asking for help in the search for a man who has been missing for several months and may be in need of medical attention.

Authorities say 64-year-old Dion Coleman has been missing since, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024.

Officers said Coleman is known to frequent downtown Chicago, though it is unclear which areas specifically.

According to police, Coleman, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs around 150 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair.

A photo provided by Chicago police shows Coleman with a beard, though it is unclear if he had one at the time of his disappearance.

The public was notified about the missing man’s disappearance in a news release shared on Friday, but officers did not say what he was last spotted wearing.

Additionally, authorities said Coleman may be in need of medical attention, but did not provide further details.

Authorities said Coleman was previously reported missing on October 14, 2024, and was located about a week later, but he disappeared again shortly after on Oct. 27
