Kim Wade exits Jackson mayor race, backs Rodney DePriest

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson mayoral candidate has pulled out of the race in the 2025 Municipal General Election.

Kim Wade, who was running as an Independent, said even though he will still be on the ballot, he is supporting Rodney DePriest, who is running as an Independent.

The candidates who are still in the race include State Senator John Horhn (D), Kenneth Gee (R), Rodney DePriest (I), Zach Service (I) and Lille Stewart-Robinson (I).
