Phase 2A of the Shirk Capacity Enhancement Project will include construction work from School Avenue to Hurley Avenue. The project will also close off Shirk Street from Hilldale Avenue to Hurley Avenue.
The city said detours will be posted at Goshen Avenue, Hillsdale Avenue and Highway 198. Those who live, work or are visiting businesses on Shirk Street will still be able to access the area.
The project includes the roadway widening of Shirk Street, installation of a 48-inch mainline sanitary sewer line, installation of a storm drain line, concrete improvements, and electrical improvements.
The scheduled completion date of the project is expected to be on July 31.
