SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — One of San Francisco’s most historic neighborhoods is now the scene of a new movie in the making.

Molinari’s Deli in North Beach closed early on Wednesday to become a backdrop to a film starring Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen. Wilde was seen eating with the production crew outside after filming wrapped (see below).

According to Mayor Daniel Lurie’s office, the name of the independent movie is “The Invite.”

Manijeh Fata, the executive director of the San Francisco Film Commission, says films bring a special energy to the city and residents can agree upon.

“We’re always working to attract more films to San Francisco because every production brings jobs, supports local businesses and inspires more people to experience this cinematic city in real life,” says Fata.

“I think the city is a beautiful place and you can see a lot of the tourists are coming back,” said city resident Adam Dakli.
