Man who died in a Beloit crash has been identified

BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — The man who was the victim of a fatal crash on Monday has been identified by the Rock County Coroner’s Office.

The 58-year-old man was identified as Jay Wood, of Milton, Wisconsin. The coroner determined Wood died from the injuries sustained in the crash.

According to the Beloit Police Department, a blue sedan rear-ended a tan sedan, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by another vehicle in the 1400 block of Madison Road.

The crash occurred around 7:07 p.m., police said.

The driver of the tan sedan was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
