According to a news release, INIP is now a part of the department’s Community Powered Infrastructure program, which help residents have access to cost-share opportunities for infrastructure projects in their neighborhood.
“For seven years, neighbors have been able to work directly with Indy DPW to make the changes they want to see in their neighborhoods,” Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said in the release. “From pavement upgrades and sidewalk fixes to safety improvements and more, the city of Indianapolis is proud to match the funding of local organizations to help improve the place that we all call home.”

Since the program began in 2018, Indianapolis has invested more than $10 million into more than 65 projects across Marion County. The 2025 projects could see bidding and construction as early as next year.
