PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting inside a West Philadelphia corner store Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, just after 2:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire inside a store on the 5400 block of Race Street. When police arrived, they found two young men suffering from gunshot wounds.
One victim was taken to Lankenau Medical Center in critical condition. The second victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police recovered a firearm from the scene and one person is in custody.
