Pike County homicide suspect arrested in Texas

PIKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The man who was wanted in connection to a Pike County homicide was arrested in Texas.

According to authorities, Anthony Butler, Jr., turned himself into police in Arlington, Texas, around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20. They said the weapon believed to have been used in the homicide was recovered and will be sent for ballistic testing.

Butler will be extradited back to Pike County.

The shooting occurred at the Hillside Club on Summit Holmesville Road.

Authorities said they are still looking for another suspect in connection to this case.
