The suspects are identified as Tamira Claggion, 24, and Andrew Coleman, 26. Claggion is described to be 5-foot-11 tall and weighing 175 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink dress and gray shoes. Coleman is described to be 6-feet-tall and weighing 200 pounds.
According to the Oakland Police Department, Coleman and Claggion are the biological parents of Amira. OPD says they have “extensive” criminal history and do not have custody of Amira.
Amira was abducted at a residence on the 1000 block of 39th Street.
OPD said Amira has been living with her paternal grandmother who has sole custody of her. Police said the grandmother was assaulted in front of her home with a firearm and a knife by the suspects who then abducted the girl during a struggle. Police said the suspects fled eastbound from the area.
The suspects should be considered “armed and dangerous,” CHP says. The Amber Alert was issued for Oakland and San Leandro.
Police said they have not yet recovered the weapons used during the assault. No suspect vehicle information is available at this time, OPD said.
Anyone with information is urged to call police immediately.
