(KRON) — Two suspects were arrested in connection to a series of thefts at Bay Area Ulta Beauty stores, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office (SCCSO) announced Monday. The two suspects are part of a trio that is linked to 35 thefts of Ulta stores across the Bay Area, totaling more than $45,000 worth of stolen beauty products. As of Monday, the third suspect remains at large.

The Ulta stores victimized by these thefts include locations in Cupertino, San Jose, Sunnyvale and Campbell, according to SCCSO. The retail theft spree also hit Target and The Home Depot stores from Placer County down to Monterey County, including several Bay Area counties.

SCCSO conducted a search of the suspects’ home and discovered the following:

  • Suspected ecstasy powder and pills
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Stolen cosmetics, perfumes, sunglasses, clothing and tools
  • Nearly $1,500 in cash

The sheriff’s office posted photos of the stolen items recovered by its retail task force. According to SCCSO, more than $10,000 worth of property in the thefts was recovered.

A 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman — both San Jose residents — were charged with multiple counts of organized retail theft. The former has a prior burglary conviction, authorities said.

“Steal in Santa Clara County, and we’ll come knocking!” the sheriff’s office wrote.
