NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police have announced that a fourth inmate accused of escaping from the Orleans Justice Center has been captured.
On Monday, May 19, LSP officials said 21-year-old Gary Price was taken into custody in New Orleans.
On Friday, May 16, the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that multiple inmates had escaped from the jail after they were discovered missing during a routine headcount around 8:30 a.m.
OPSO officials reported that Kendell Myles, Robert Moody and Dkenan Dennis have been captured.
Six inmates, Antoine Massey, Lenton VanBuren, Leo Tate, Derrick Groves, Jermaine Donald and Corey Boyd, remain at large.
On Monday, LSP officials said Price will be transported to a state facility.
According to the LSP, more than “200 Law Enforcement personnel from various local, state, and federal agencies continue to work around the clock to locate the remaining fugitives.”
Anyone with information about the inmates still at large or that could assist in the case can call the LSP Fusion Center, Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans or the FBI Hotline.
The reward for information that leads to the capture of the inmates still at large is $5,000 from Crimestoppers, $5,000 from ATF and $10,000 from the FBI.
