Docs: Indy pimp used crack cocaine to control, exploit sex trafficking victims

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis-based pimp has been found guilty of murder, prostitution and more in connection to a “violent human and drug trafficking enterprise” he used to exploit vulnerable Hoosier women.

Kristopher McDonald, 37, of Indianapolis, was recently found guilty by a federal jury on eight felony charges. The charges are reportedly related to a criminal enterprise he ran named “The Kristopher McDonald Organization.”

Court documents detail how McDonald “orchestrated and led” a prostitution ring in Indy by recruiting and exploiting women for commercial sex and “maintaining strict control of the operation.” Police say he used violence and death threats to punish both women and clients.

To further manipulate and control the women, McDonald reportedly forced them into addiction by supplying them with crack cocaine. Documents allege he made the women perform sex acts up to 10 times a day and would pistol-whip any woman who didn’t earn enough money.

Following a trial this month in federal court, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Monday that McDonald had been found guilty of the following:

  • Murder in aid of racketeering activity,
  • Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion
    • 2 counts
  • Enticing an individual to travel in interstate commerce to engage in prostitution
  • Brandishing and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Travel Act: Interstate or international travel to further “unlawful activities.”
    • 2 counts

The investigation into McDonald’s enterprise was conducted by IMPD, the ATF and the IRS. McDonald will be sentenced by Judge Tanya Walton Pratt at a later date.
