Beloit Police Department names interim chief after Sayles’ departure

BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — The City of Beloit Police Department has selected an interim replacement following Chief Andre Sayles’ departure.

Assistant Chief Thomas Stigler will be taking over for Sayles on June 7th. Stigler joined the department in 2018 after 30 years with the Milwaukee Police Department.

Sayles said he is moving on to another position to continue his career and contribute to a new community.

The Beloit Police and Fire Commission is meeting at a later date to move forward with searching for a new police chief.
