MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man has been indicted on an attempted murder charge after he allegedly sliced another man’s neck in Hernando, Mississippi, DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton said.
Jiver Alejandro Melo Dominguez, 19, allegedly attempted to slice a man’s neck with a box knife during a construction project in Hernando on March 5.
Dominguez is from Mexico and is in the country illegally, Barton said.
He was indicted for attempted murder by the Grand Jury on Thursday.
The D.A. says that Dominguez had recently traveled from Chicago to Memphis before the incident. He was arrested by the Hernando Police Department.
