Janesville SWAT arrest suspect wanted for drug trafficking and theft

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A Janesville man was arrested after a standoff with police Sunday, which resulted in the SWAT team being called to the house.

Justin Gillespie, 39, was wanted on charges of delivering cocaine, child neglect, retail theft, and bail jumping in both Janesville and Beloit.

Janesville Police were alerted that Gillespie was at a home in the 2000 block of South Osborne.

Authorities said Gillespie refused to comply with patrol officers, and the SWAT team was activated.

He was later taken into custody inside the home and booked into the Rock County Jail.
