The county says seniors who meet income guidelines can receive five $5 vouchers to purchase fresh, Pennsylvania-grown fruits and vegetables through the Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
To qualify, you must be a Cumberland County resident 60 or older by December 31, 2025, and have an annual income of $28,953 or less for a one-person household, or $39,128 or less for a two-person household
“These vouchers help ensure our seniors have access to healthy, local produce,” said Annie Huff, Director of Aging. “Quantities are limited, so we encourage eligible residents to apply soon.”
You can apply by calling the Cumberland County Aging & Community Services at 717-240-6110 to request an application by mail. You can also email: mrkirby@cumberlandcountypa.gov or apply online.
Vouchers are valid from June 1 through Nov. 30 and can be used at any participating farmers market or farm stand across Pennsylvania.
