WSCC SOFTBALL: Lions returning to World Series

State is returning to the NJCAA World Series for the fifth consecutive season and the ninth time in the last 10 tournaments.

The Lions received an at-large bid in the NJCAA Division I Selection Show this past Tuesday. Wallace State (47-13), ranked ninth in the latest poll, received the 11th seed.

Wallace State will meet 6th 6th-seeded Odessa College (46-6) in the tournament’s first round at 4:45 pm on May 19. The tournament will be played at the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex in Yuma, AZ.

Odessa College was ranked 7th in the latest poll. They are coming off a 5-3 loss to Grayson College in the Region V Southwest District A Championship.
