Shreveport Police respond to deceased person call at facility

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — On Friday, May 16, Shreveport Police responded to The Oaks of Louisiana independent living facility in reference to a deceased person call.

Family members of 89-year-old Katherine Green arrived at the facility that morning to check on her after she missed an appointment and could not be reached by phone. They had last spoken to her the night before. Her door was not locked, and Ms. Green was not inside.

Staff members found Ms. Green’s body in a canal down a hill near her residence a short time later.
