Person rescued after falling into San Francisco Bay from the Embarcadero

(KRON) — The San Francisco Fire Department rescued a person who fell into San Francisco Bay along the Embarcadero Saturday around 6:30 p.m.

The person was pulled from the water near Pier 30 behind Red’s Java House.

“The person was rescued and transferred to a fire department ambulance,” SFFD said.

The person was taken to a local hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.

Earlier this month, SFFD rescued two young brothers who got caught in a rip current at Ocean Beach near Fort Funston.
